Its been awhile I know

Hey y'all..

yes I know its been a long time really since I've posted, compared to how much I posted last year while I was away.

Things here have been crazy busy from sun rise to sun set. Working from 7am- 10pm about just wears me out pretty good everyday and I sleep very well :) Over the next three weeks Lesley will be watching Jeffrey in the afternoons which give me alittle more time with the rest of the kids, which results in more work :) I wake up early every day to make break for the kids as usual and now stay away till they are all in bed so I can kiss em all good night.

I also started leading worship at the church here...pretty crazy blessing. I fell in love with this church the moment I got here. Such loving people just open to whatever God has for them. I told them I sing back home, and they were like cool...come sing sunday, practise is saturday, and thats how is started. Been singing there more then a month now :)

So yea...life is crazy, God is good....woo hoo.

If you want to keep up dated on pictures just click on the facebook link on the right side of the screen, I post new pics there every couple days :)

thanx y'all for your prayers...

Good bye little one.

This morning at around 4am our little Virginia went to be with our Lord.

We know that it was her time and she is now in his loving arms, in no pain, smiling and full of joy!

Tonight we will be holding a prayer service for those in the community, her family and her friends. Tomorrow the full service will be held at 5pm (4pm BC time). Please pray for us here tonight as we will soon be telling all the children, once Brad and Debbie arrive.

Pray for a bond of love to hold us together, knowing the Lords arms are around us in unity.

In her service

Virginia

Here is just a quick run down of Virginias story. In January Virginia broke her arm falling off the pool ladder here at the orphanage. It was a clean break, or so they thought. The bone was set for one break but as we found out about a month ago there were two. On thursday she went in to have the second break set. When they put her down for the operation they gave her too much anastetic that her little 5 years old body could not handle. Her heart stopped her 5 mins aswell as her breathing. They fought for 2 hours to get her back to stable. Since thursday she has now been in a coma. Her eyes are open, yet she does not respond to touch or talking. Last night her body starting going in to seizures and has not stopped. She seizes for a couple minuets and repeats, with the longest rest being 20mins.

Brad and Debbie decided they could not stand by and just watch. Today they boarded a plane to the capital city with Virginia in their arms. They are bringing her a bigger and better hospital where we can hope to get some answers, compared to the small hospital here on the island.

They will so be considering looking for longer term care if she does not get any better in the next few days. We are not sure if that care will be possible here on the island, and she will probably be a far way from us on the mainland.

Please continue to pray...

Only two more "normal" weeks.

Hey y'all.

Well as always things are going good, as God is in control! Been down here in Roatan for more then 3 weeks now and I cant believe how fast its all gone by.

I am now living in the childrens home and here on a 24/7 basis. Its really nice to be able to stay up late with the other kids, watching movie and just hanging out. I'm getting to know them all a little more as each day passes. All it takes is the get one of them alone and they just open up. Big Sarah (compared to little sarah who is a lot younger) has been here for 3 months now with her brother Kery. The two of us have bonded over the fact that she loves giving me massages! I love her! :) During our time alone yesterday she totally opened up to me about her life, and to think such a little girl like her has been through so much. I have decided that in the next couple weeks I am going to start writting down the chidrens stories, and posting them here eventually. These kids have amazing testimonies, not only of there past but of their survival.

I praise God for bringing my down here and showing all he has for me.

In two weeks Debbie and Brad will be leaving for the states with Little Sarah and Debra. I was worried I would be here alone in the house with the children, but as always God answers prayer. The day Debbie and Brad leave Leslie will be joining the team. She has been her before and knows most of the kids (besides the new ones). I cant wait to meet her and work with her while Brad and Debbie are gone for a month. They will be gone from April 21 to about May 20th. Gonna be a great month!
